How College View researches online degree information

Our goal is to help learners compare programmes using clear sources, defined methods and visible limitations—without presenting College View as a university or implying an institutional partnership.

Our independence

No MOU is required for independent educational research

College View can explain public regulations, compare publicly available programme information and publish its own analysis. We do not claim to represent a university, issue admissions, guarantee outcomes or reproduce private institutional material.

Source hierarchy

Which sources receive the most weight?

Time-sensitive claims are checked against the strongest available primary source.

01

Regulators and statutory bodies

UGC, UGC-DEB and applicable professional or regulatory bodies are used for recognition, equivalence and programme-rule claims.

02

Official institutional material

Official prospectuses, fee schedules, policies and programme pages are used when discussing a specific institution. College View does not imply endorsement.

03

Published research

Credible research such as GMAC recruiter surveys is used only within its stated population, geography and subject area.

04

College View dataset

Fee ranges and comparisons use records collected from official public sources and carry a review date. A range is not a fee quotation.

05

Competitor pages

Other education websites may be studied for information architecture, but their wording and unsupported numbers are not treated as evidence.

06

Claims we avoid

We avoid universal placement, salary, recruiter-acceptance, scholarship and outcome claims when no reliable methodology is available.

Corrections

How information is reviewed and corrected

01

Date every review

Programme and evidence pages display a last-reviewed date so learners can judge recency.

02

Separate facts from interpretation

Regulatory statements, source data and College View analysis are presented as different kinds of information.

03

Recheck before payment

Learners are directed to verify the exact programme, mode and session and obtain current written fee details.

If a public source changes or a factual error is identified, College View should update the affected page, its review date and any dependent comparison records.

Compare the evidence before choosing

Use programme facts, official recognition records, complete costs and your intended outcome—not advertising language alone.
